Red Raven members regretfully to announce that as of May 21, 2016 the gallery has closed our doors at the Salem Arts Building.

We want to thank fellow artists, visitors, customers and local Salem business people for their support and help in making Red Raven a fun and vibrant part of Salem’s art community for the past 4-1/2 years.

Red Raven brought excellent artists to Salem. Our impressive list of guest artists included father and daughter, Gary Anderson and Erika Anderson, Yugi Hiratsuka, Rollie Wisbrock, Jon Steiner, Nancy Eng, Mike Rangner, Josh Kinsey and our most recent guest, Susan Bourdet.

The gallery also gave new and emerging artists a place to show and sell their art through consignment. Gallery members were also engaged in fundraising for the Turtle Ridge Wildlife Rescue/Sanctuary and Bush Elementary After School Art Club, as well as donating numerous art pieces for charitable auctions such as the Oregon Garden. The Gallery participated in downtown Salem First Wednesdays, which included receptions for artist’s demonstrations, music, food and fun with the community.

However, Red Raven artists are a persistent and optimistic group. We are not ready to give up on Red Raven or Salem, so look to the future for announcements and pop-up shows. From July 1st to August 31st our artists will be showing a variety of 2D art at the Keizer Civic Center and our artists work can also be viewed in galleries in Portland, McMinnville, Silverton, Independence, and Salem.

Thank you for all you’ve done for us to make our business possible. We’ve had a lot of fun and learned a lot. We have met some amazing people and brought some great art to Salem. Thanks everyone who helped make it possible.
